Session Schedule

Session = 3 hours

Welcome Meeting

  • Greetings to reconnect with each other
  • Movement based activity
  • Check the daily stats - temperature, calendar, etc.
  • Review schedule and safety expectations for the day 

Outdoor - Gardening & Walk/Explore

  • Warm up bodies by walking/exploring
  • Review/explore changes to our home base
  • Warm up activities - upkeep of school garden, animals and activity/project areas

Snack & Read Aloud

  • Refuel with home provided snack
  • Read aloud
  • Clean up

Project-based Learning

  • Whole group and small group activities
  • Inspired by the season, weather, student interest
  • Coordinated with math, literacy, science and social studies curricula

Wrap-up

  • Share reflections, ideas, learning, wonderings
  • Offering thanks 
  • Bidding farewell
