All About Me 2.1 - Math

Wednesday Mornings

This hands-on, outdoor session combines self-discovery with foundational math skills, allowing students to explore "All About Me" through numbers (0-100) in an outdoor setting. By integrating math into natural exploration and personal reflection, students will build a deeper understanding of themselves and the world around them. 

All About Me 2.1 - Language Arts

Wednesday Afternoons

This enriching course invites students to explore their identities and connections to the natural world through reading and writing. Using the forest as their classroom, students will discover the joy of storytelling, self-expression, and literacy while building a deeper understanding of who they are. 

All About Me 2.2 - Math

Wednesday Mornings

 In this follow-up to "All About Me 2.1," students will extend their understanding of math concepts by exploring how numbers (0-100) connect to their classmates and the natural world. This course emphasizes collaboration, group discovery, and the ways math helps us understand relationships within a community and the environment. 

All About Me 2.2 - Language Arts

Wednesday Afternoons

Building on the foundation of "All About Me 2.1," this second session focuses on shared experiences and collaborative storytelling. Students will explore how their unique identities contribute to the community and discover how to tell stories that celebrate "us" through reading and writing in the forest. 

Seasons 2.0 - Math

Wednesday Mornings

 In this immersive course, students will explore the changing seasons through a mathematical lens, engaging in hands-on activities that connect natural phenomena with foundational math concepts, such as data collection, measurement, pattern recognition, etc. 

Seasons 2.0 - Language Arts

This literacy-focused course invites first-grade students to explore the seasons through reading and writing activities integrated into the natural environment, enhancing language skills while fostering a connection to nature. 

Rocks 2.0 - Math

 In this engaging course, students will explore the world of rocks through hands-on mathematical activities set in a natural environment. By integrating math concepts with outdoor exploration, students will develop foundational skills in a meaningful and interactive way.

 In this interactive course, students will investigate the natural phenomena of sound and light through mathematical concepts. Engaging in outdoor activities, students will develop foundational math skills by exploring how sound and light interact with the environment.  Students will have strengthened their mathematical understanding through practical exploration of sound and light in a natural setting.

Building upon foundational skills developed in earlier gardening sessions, this session delves deeper into mathematical concepts through the lens of garden exploration. Students will engage in more complex activities that enhance their understanding of mathematical operations, all within the context of the natural world.
